A Bit of Our History
Our little colony was dedicated to Ste Radegonde
by Fr. Jules Bois, a parish priest at Meyronne
who said mass in private homes once a month.
She was a queen of France and patroness of the
diocese of Poitiers, France where he was born.
The first church, built in 1913, quickly became t
oo small so land was purchased from the Sisters
of the Cross and our present day church was built
in 1922. It seats 500 and the first mass was
celebrated on November 28, 1922 by Archbishop
Mathieu of Regina.
In 1996 major repairs were done to the south wall
and in 2000, major renovations began. Since 1986
the church has been the location for the ecumenical
service for the graduating class of Lafleche Central
School and since 1999 the graduation exercises have been held here. The Lafleche & District Music Festival and Lafleche & District Lions Club Annual Carol Festival are two other community events held in our church.
We have an active Catholic Women’s League and Knights of Columbus as well.
We have an enthusiastic lay ministry and a varied music ministry. Our Mass schedule changes from week to week so please call Joanne or check the signboard outside the church to find out when the next service will be held. We invite you to join us when you can and are always happy to welcome new parishioners and visitors alike!
LITANY OF SAINTE RADEGONDE
Lord have mercy on us.
Christ have mercy on us.
Lord have mercy on us.
Jesus Christ hear us.
Jesus Christ graciously hear us.
God the Father Almighty, have pity on us.
God the Son, Redeemer of the world, have pity on us.
God the Holy Spirit, have pity on us.
Holy Trinity, One God, have pity on us.

Holy Mary, PRAY FOR US.
Holy Mother of God,
Holy Virgin of all virgins,
SAINTE RADEGONDE,
Daughter of royal birth,
Daughter of God the Most High,
Daughter of a Sincere Sacrifice,
Mirror of humility,
Model of Religious dedication,
Queen of natural beauty and of soul,
Queen who gave up royal luxury,
Queen, example for all queens,
Queen who scorned royalty,
Precious stone of France,
Magnificent jewel of the diadem of Jesus Christ,
Devotee of the sacred Cross of Christ,
Filled with devotion for the relics of saints,
Steadfast observer of regulations,
Filled with compassion for the unfortunate,
Purest partner of the Celestial Spouse,
Clement liberator of prisoners,
Often visited by Jesus Christ your spouse,
Very noble inhabitant of a humble cell,
Assured patron of Poitiers,
Powerful defender of our besieged city,
Kissed by the fire of divine love,
Operator of frequent miracles,
Absolute dominator of demons,
You who resurrected the dead,
Perfect observer of silence,
Adorer of the Blessed Sacrament,
Assured anchor of those who are in peril of sin,
Favoured by a lamp never to be extinguished,
Tender consoler of all afflicted souls
Endowed with an incorruptible body,
Very holy inhabitant of a tomb renowned for its miracles,
Associate of the heavenly host of blessed spirits,
That it please you to protect with a special gentleness this town of Lafleche and all its inhabitants, we supplicate you. HEAR OUR PRAYER.
That it please you to deliver us from all pestilence and cruelty,
we supplicate you. HEAR OUR PRAYER.
Pray for us Sainte Radegonde, that we may become worthy
of the promises of Jesus Christ.
LET US PRAY: Lord, inclined to forgive, grant us if you please to be comforted by the powerful protection of Ste. Radegonde, incomparable queen, so that we experience more readily the effects of your love and your inexhaustible mercy, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May God’s peace be with you and may
His perpetual light shine upon you forever and ever.
Amen
